‘Books are among the most constant of companions’, so Charles W. Eliot wisely said. If you agree, why not try coupling those paper companions with real life human ones and drop in to The Roebuck Inn’s Book Club?! This is a friendly group who meet once every six weeks, drink pots of tea (or a glass of wine . . . ) and discuss the chosen book! Conversation inevitably turns to literature in general with recommendations of books read, re-read or on the ‘to read’ pile.
Please just drop in – the next meet is Wednesday 3rd July, 7.30pm, reading ‘The God of Small Things‘ by Arundhati Roy
