Les Volets Pinot Noir, France – Cherry, strawberry and raspberry notes with chocolatey vanilla hints. The favourite Pinot Noir of the Cholmondeley Arms and rightly so. A lovely Pinot Noir from Languedoc.
Crocera Barbera d’Asti Superiore, Italy – deep ruby red from Piedmont in Northern Italy, chocolate, wild cherry and notes.
Debajo Carignan, Chile – Blackberry and mulberry notes Delicious and moreish. An easy drinking red.
Artesa Rioja Crianza, Spain – A vibrant red with plum and berries backed with spice and vanilla notes.
Showdown Cabernet Sauvignon, California – Blackcurrant, plum and cassis notes with a hint of vanilla. A light ruby red with a dark chocolate finish
Albacea, Jumilla, Spain – A really big wine! Oak, vanilla and chocolate notes. One of my favourite Spanish wines, made with from 100% Monastrell grape (the Mourvedre in France). A really delicious red!
Macia Batle Anada, Mallorca – One of my favourite Mallorcan wines, a real ‘caramel’ red, smooth with good red fruit flavours.
Zarihs Syrah Borsao, Spain – vanilla, oak and chocolate notes with a hint of cassis. Really wonderful Syrah . Got to be matched with a wholesome beef, lamb and game dishes.
WHITES
Il Cascinone Camillona Sauvignon Blanc, Italy – tropical fruits from mango to papaya are the notes of this unique Italian Sauvignon Blanc. A refreshing white wine to drink on a warm spring evening.
K-Naia Verdejo, Spain – One of the best Verdejo’s I have tasted, great fruits with a smooth finish.
S-Naia Sauvignon Blanc, Spain – Beautiful Sauvignon Blanc styled on New Zealand varieties.
El Jardin de Lucia Albarino, Spain – My favourite Albarino, probably one of the best too, it really ticks the box, green apples and a subtle minerality, fresh and vibrant. This wine is special, the quality is remembered, long after the price is forgotten!
